The 'Going Around and Around in My Head' Phase

 ✈️ I'm overseas at the moment, visiting the Metpack trade show in Germany, and family in London (England - not Kentucky!) 🎡🏰 💂

I've been doing lots of book promotion (as you may have seen on my social media feeds!)

However, the next book I am planning to write (provisionally titled "Making Stuff") has not moved forward much over the last few weeks! 📚

In fact, I made the mistake of sharing this photo from Köln, Germany, with my no-nonsense editor... That's right... WRITE YOUR BOOK!

Translation: Write your book!

Before she could really start telling me off (as she so often does!) 😡

 I assured her that, while I haven't been doing much ACTUAL writing, ideas for my next book have been going around and around in my head... 💭🤔

 I also told her that I HAVE been pulling together photos,

stories and memories of all the stuff I've made over the years, including engines, electronics, radio transmitters, TV transmitters, model warships, motors, measurement systems and machines...

Luckily, this was the moment when smoke stopped coming out of my editor's ears, and she told me that the "going around and around in your head" phase was one of the most important parts of the writing process... 👍

My AMAZING editor (who also does all my social media) created this collage using some of my old photos - I think this was her way of telling me to GET ON WITH IT!!!
