G’Day! Glad you could make it...
It's Mother's Day, so I'm dipping into my memoir, Wayback, to find stuff to share with you about my wonderful mother - Leondis Dean...

Leondis, daughter of Evelyn and Bill (Wilhelm) Schaefer from Dimboola married Lang, son of Dolly and Leo Dean of Womboota.
They purchased a small block of irrigation country in Wakool, New South Wales and set about building a house, dairy and starting a family.
Leondis and Lang had Gerard, Joe, Philomena, Therese, Kristen, Susan, Rosanne, Bernie and Angela. I have to say that having eight legendary brothers and sisters in the same house was cracking! I thank them all.

Quotes from Wayback... (All about Mum!)
As the mother of nine, our mum knew how to make sure we all got our fair share...

As her oldest child, I gave my mum a few scares over the years...

Thanks to Mum, there was always a delicious, nutritious dinner on the table... but, sometimes, I was still suspicious...

Mum loved music. My brother and I did too... although we didn't agree on 'the most beautiful music on earth!'

My brother and I were excited about the idea of going to war. For some reason, our mum felt differently...
